Our involvement with Distribution Law has ranged from advising the world’s largest product distributor on its global product distribution contracts, to advising a new, niche product distributor on ways to structure its distribution relationships so that particular state statutes do not apply. Distribution Law involves the subtle application of a range of legal issues, such as antitrust law, intellectual property law, contract law, state and federal regulation of franchising and business opportunity sales, state industry termination laws.

Andrew Caffey has been actively involved in the US and international franchise community for more than 30 years, and has represented franchisors and franchisees is all aspects of their franchise business. He has advised companies on their international and domestic expansion, and has deep professional contacts in Europe through the Gast Avocats law firm in Paris and Grenoble. Domestically, we prepare and maintain disclosure documents in compliance with state and federal laws, and represent our clients maintaining franchise registrations and exemptions in all franchise registration states and business opportunity law states in the US.

After discussions with our clients we have adopted a well-received flat fee schedule for all of our state franchise registration work.

Andrew Caffey is a seasoned arbitrator, and a long-standing member of the neutrals panel of the American Arbitration Association. As an arbitrator since 2004, Andrew Caffey has presided over dozens of arbitrations. He has heard disputes between franchisors and franchisees in multiple industries, between physicians dividing their partnership, and many other contract-based disputes. Andrew Caffey is always available through cases administered by the American Arbitration Association, and he is available to serve as an experienced, neutral, and affordable independent arbitrator upon request anywhere in the United States.
